Cheryl Alderman was a beloved friend of H&H Dance Academy. She loved to dance and touched so many lives. Cheryl was a vibrant member of the studio, where she fell in love with the Adult Tap class. She was the kind of mom all the older dancers wanted backstage during recitals. She was always the best cheerleader encouraging our dancers on and off of the stage and would be the first one to start dancing backstage while waiting for awards. After a courageous battle with ALS, Cheryl became what we always knew she was, an Angel. One of her daughters, Miss Kara Alderman was a member of our dance team both on the company and competitive levels, and is now an active alumni member and friend. We have had the privilege and the pleasure to have watched Kara grow up into the amazing young woman she has become. The Alderman Family will always hold a special place in our hearts, and it is our honor to acknowledge Cheryl and keep her memory alive.
It is with great pride to select one lucky recipient to receive a scholarship towards their dance training. The selected dancer is a student who portrays some of the amazing qualities that we loved about Cheryl. The recipient must demonstrate a strong work ethic, positive attitude, determination to strive for excellence and one who is a role model in and out of the studio.
