Millbury Sutton Chronicle: H&H Dance Academy stays in step despite coronavirus pandemic
MILLBURY — H&H Dance Academy learned a lot of steps over the past 15 months, including how to dance through a pandemic.
The keys — be flexible, be open to new ideas and be ready to perform in unusual places such as a parking lot and the Mendon Twin Drive-In.
H&H — also known as twin sisters, former school teachers, longtime dancers and Millbury natives Heidi Sulminski and Heather Gerardi — even managed a move from an old mill building in West Millbury to a bigger space on Grafton Avenue about two miles away.
“It was a dream that was in the works for three-four years,” said Gerardi of the move that took place in September 2020 — in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, and when the studio was offering classes via Zoom only.
